Learn how to program one the most important parts of any workout!

Movement preparation gets the mind and body ready for physical activity or competition but is one of the most overlooked or poorly prepared parts of most workouts.

Mari, Joseph, and Rodrigo will be sharing how they use their areas of specialty to program specific, challenging, and diverse warm-ups and cool-downs that meet their clients specific needs whether correctional, mobility, proprioceptive or all of the above.


MARI DE CARVALHO
(YOGA + MOBILITY)

 

This course will give a quick overview of the benefits of yoga as a practice that can be used during warm ups and cool down for any type of athlete. Attendees will get familiar with the different types of yoga they can use and for what clients each practice will be most useful to. In addition, we will go over a simple way to create and cue your flows.

Animal flow is an innovative body-weight modality that can improve strength, endurance, and flexibility. We will be studying how to use animal flow movements to activate the muscles of the lower body as movement prep. This course will supply you with new exercises that will increase the mobility, proprioception, strength, and endurance of your clients.

A strong body with no awareness is like a fast car with poor steering: It’s harder to maneuver and is more likely to crash. Having a tool to help polish fuzzy movement will help new clients stay safe and motivated while they transition into a more active lifestyle. Integrating simple awareness and proprioception drills into warm ups helps clients “tune in” to their body and preps their mind for training or as a cool down so they can wind down.
