The Alexander Technique is movement education method developed over a hundred years ago by F.M. Alexander, an Australian actor.  Since its inception, the Alexander Technique has been widely known among actors, dancers and musicians as a discipline to enhance both performance quality and the health and well-being of the performer.

Location: DIAKADI

Time: 1-2pm

Date: Tuesday, March 19

Fee: Free for DIAKADI Trainers | $20 for Community Trainers

People suffering from back pain, injury and repetitive stress have also found the Technique beneficial in their healing processes.  In the last few decades Alexander teachers have advanced the profession by applying the Technique specifically to internal martial arts, running, swimming and working out.

Join Rachel Stallman (AmSAT Certified Teacher of the A.T., NASM CPT) for an introductory group class.  The class will include:

  • The basic concepts of the Alexander Technique and how to apply them to yourself
  • Movement experiments to enhance mind and body awareness
  • Individual hands-on guidance to promote more freedom and ease in the joints

My aim is for you to leave the class moving and breathing with more ease and enhanced mind body awareness.
