Our bodies are constantly changing - year to year, and even day to day. What worked last year may not give you the results you want this year. My passion is helping people navigate physical changes, whether they are the big ones like child birth or menopause, or the subtler ones that are often just as influential.
I was the girl who could never sit still in class, always had pressing news for my neighbor, and did cartwheels down the hall when my gabbing finally got me sent out of the room. My smart mother, at her wits end, stuck me in the beautiful, rigid world of ballet.
My philosophy as a trainer began in the ballet studio: the demands of consistent practice, the frustration of injuries, and most importantly, the joy of movement.
But exercise doesn’t have to hurt to work. In fact, it shouldn’t.
Spending over a decade in the fitness industry, enduring ankle surgery, and birthing a human have changed the way I view taking care of your body. Where once I tried to beat mine into submission, I now treat it the way I am raising my daughter: I listen to her, I trust her, and I enjoy her. I’m the boss, but we are finding our way together. Now, instead of pushing my body too hard, too fast, I meet it where it’s at, day to day, year to year, with a challenge that leaves me feeling strong, fit, and comfortable in my own skin.
