Billy Polson, BS, CSCS, is a nationally recognized certified personal trainer, performance coach, fitness entrepreneur, international speaker, and the founder/co-owner of DIAKADI personal training gym. As a fitness performance coach, he was named by Men's Journal Magazine as one of the Top 100 Trainers in America, as well as one of the Top 10 Trainers in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Chronicle and Haute Magazine. Peers and other fitness professionals look to Billy as a fitness advisor and business coach for good reason - Billy devotes his own life and energy towards helping others learn how to live the strong, healthy, successful and happy life they were meant to live.
From his undergraduate and post-graduate studies, his national certifications, his 25+ years of experience working as a coach and trainer, and a lifetime spent as a competitive athlete, Billy knows body dynamics, injury rehabilitation and how to maximize personal performance.

As an aging athlete in my 50s, I know firsthand the ups and downs of training, competing, rehabbing injuries, and chasing big goals. I’ve torn rotator cuffs, replaced both knees, and felt the joint pain that comes with years of pushing my body hard in athletics and life. But I’ve also discovered the power of smart strength training and cardio conditioning, muscle balance, joint alignment, and mobility work to keep moving forward. Through decades of experience and advanced education, plus countless hours working alongside physical therapy teams, I’ve learned how to turn setbacks into comebacks. I’m passionate about helping clients not only resolve pain and imbalances but also return to their version of peak performance. Beyond the gym, I love studying longevity and healthspan, while fine-tuning and experimenting with my own nutrition, sleep, and recovery habits.

Since joining the fitness industry in 1998, Billy's vision was to create a cutting-edge training facility exclusively for the Bay Area's leading independent fitness trainers and coaches. DIAKADI is that vision, and has been voted the Best Place to Get Fit by San Francisco Magazine, the Best Program Design by 7x7 magazine, as well as the Top Trainers and/or Gym in San Francisco for over 20 years. In 2015, with the intention of helping fitness entrepreneurs advance their skills as business owners, Billy co-founded DIAKADI’s Business Movement, which continues to assist hundreds of fitness professionals world wide with building and growing their most successful fitness businesses. In 2020, with the goal of building a support network for all fitness studio owners in San Francisco throughout the COVID pandemic, Billy co-founded the San Francisco Independent Fitness Studio Coalition, which joined together over 80 boutique studio owners in the Bay Area.
