I was on a mountain, this wild place, where I finally learned I was stronger than I ever imagined.

At an age (69) where I should be marking dramatic declines in my strength, mobility and running times, I’m instead seeing improvement. I credit my two years of training with Angela as the major reason I’m turning back the clock. She offers training plans and challenging strength workouts with a relaxed and good humored approach that suits me perfectly. This year, she’ll be coaching me to my second 50K trail race and a road marathon all with keeping me injury free and finishing with a smile.

Angela and I started working together in Fall of 2014. I was coming off of a long, frustrating ITBS injury and had two goals: to eliminate the nagging pain in a holistic way and to BQ at CIM which was only 4 months away. My one and only marathon before then was a 3:26 in 2012 (16 minutes over BQ). Angela quickly identified imbalances and focused on establishing stride symmetry in order to address ITBS. After three months of strength work and with ITBS completely gone I ended up running a 2:58, 17 minutes under BQ but more importantly, I felt really strong throughout the race as measured by a 5 minute negative split. Since then and under her training we have achieved 3 more Boston qualifiers, a 2016 NYCM qualifier and currently working towards a Tokyo Marathon qualifier. Looking back, success was all because of Angela’s thoughtfulness, strength expertise, strategic coaching brain and empathy as a fellow runner. She is the total trainer-coach-runner package and the only thing you will regret is that your paths didn’t cross earlier.

Angela is a fitness machine. She wants nothing more than to help you smash your fitness goals. She’s extremely smart and unbelievably dedicated to you, for both running and personal training. I hired Angela to craft a running plan for my first 1/2 marathon and she nailed it. I’m faster, stronger, and have done the unthinkable: I fell in love with running after years and years of hating it. This amazing feat is largely, if not exclusively because of her.
